COUSTOM MADE INDUSTRIAL SENSORS AND THERMOWELLS
We specialize in manufacturing mineral insulated Thermocouples ranging from1.0 mm to 8.0mm OD, in Simplex as well as Duplex. The above assemblies can be provided with isolated and non-isolated junctions & terminations with frame proof head, Quick-Disconnect type connectors, spring loaded block or flying leads. The Sheathing of the assemblies are available in various materials like SS 316,Inconnal 600,SS310,etc
Thermocouples are available in two basic constructions:
a) Wire and bead type.
b) Metal sheathed mineral insulated type.
Various constructions are available, depending on process connections.
A)WIRE AND BEAD TYPE
K, N, R and S.
Type R and S: 0.38mm, 0.50mm
Type K and N: 1mm, 1.3mm, 1.6mm, 3mm, 5.5mm and 10mm.
B) METAL SHEATHED MINERAL INSULATED TYPE
MIMS has become the norm in most industries.
Various sheath compositions are available to suit application and temperature.
Sheaths available are: 304 SS, 310 SS, 316 SS, 321 SS, 446, Alloy 600, Alloy 601.
K, J, N, T and E.
1mm, 1.5mm, 3mm, 4.5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 9.5mm, 10.8mm 12.7mm and 19mm.

Thermowells for various environments are manufactured. The following alloys are available:
304 SS, 310SS, 316 SS, 446, 904, Alloy 600, Alloy 601, 253 MA.

2. Solid drilled (barstock)
Thermowells are manufactured mainly for high pressure and EX- environments. Materials include, but are not limited to:
304 SS, 316 SS, Hastalloy ® C, Alloy 600, Alloy 601, Titanium.
Some of the more common solid drilled constructions include:
Tapered weld-in, Screwed parallel, Screwed step-down, Flanged parallel
Flanged step-down, Flanged tapered
3. Ceramic and other non-metallic types for high temperature and specific chemical environments:
These include but not limited to:
- Pythagoras (1400º),
- Alsint (re-crystallised alumina - 1700º),
- Syalon (nitride bonded SiC)
- PTFE (teflon)
The Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) is one of the most accurate temperature sensors available. Unlike thermocouples, RTD's do not decalibrate (drift), thereby ensuring excellent repeatability.
Our RTD's are available in various diameters, the most common being 6mm. Other diameters available are: 4.5mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 12.7mm.
Only "Class A" RTD's are used for the manufacture of our industrial sensors.
Mineral insulated RTD's (up to 350ºC) are available in 3mm and 6mm sheaths. As with our thermocouples, any configuration is possible.
A comprehensive range of thermocouple extension and compensating cable is stocked. Both stranded and solid core are available.
The following calibrations are available:
Type K, N, J, E, T, R/S
The following insulation types are available:
PVC, FEP (tefllon), SSOB (stainless steel overbraid), Silicone, Neoprene
Multicore cable is available on request.
RTD (PT100) cable is available in PVC, silicone and HT (high temperature) insulation. Inner or outer stainless steel braiding is also available.
